Feb. 14th, 2012 08:37 amI am spending this Valentine's morning baking Mark-safe cookies for his class before he gets up, lest one or both Zodlings wreaks havoc on still-cooling cookies. Also getting my followup appt. with my regular doctor after that weekend ER visit - or trying to.
Called the Tricare appt. hotline at crack of six am. Finaly got through after 20 minutes, only to be told they don't do followups: I would have to call the clinic directly after 7:30 am. They did tell me the correct path through the phone tree to use, though.
Called the clinic; finally got through a little bit ago. After the desk nurse got my info, she asked for my cell number, and told me they'd pass the info on to my provider when they got a chance, and somebody would eventually call me back.
Sigh.
As I noted on Facebook, anybody wishing to snark about government-run health care, should know I have also been on civilian insurance in the past, and it was not exactly a happy fun land of efficiency and rainbows. :p
Unless I get an appt. today, I am spending the afternoon doing laundry and resting. My stomach's a LOT better, but I'm not quite in usual form.
