Ah, the joys of base housing
Oct. 19th, 2010 11:30 amSo this morning, on my way to the West Gate to get Mark's occ. therapist a new 60-day gate pass, I noticed the back section of the cul de sac was blocked. There were not one, not two, but THREE moving vans of varying sizes, plus a pickup truck with a moving company logo on the side. All barricading the road and sidewalk in sections.
Fortunately we are at the mouth of the cul de sac, so we weren't parked in.
A few minutes ago, I had to stand on the corner and spot for the bus driver, because he had to back up and around to get out of the street and head to his next student.
As he was straightening out and on his way.... ANOTHER moving truck inched its way around the corner from the next block. Bringing the total to five moving vehicles, two of them full sized semis like the one that brought our stuff from VA.
I hope the afternoon driver can get Mark to the house. ::sigh:: I may have to put off this afternoon's errands if we get parked in.
