sethrakI may possibly be in Ze Madness Place regarding baking right now.
I have made three dozen cupcakes since yesterday. Only lack of flour prevented me from making four dozen. (First batch overflowed the cups because I put in a smidge too much batter. There's 16 kids to provide with cupcakes, and I was hoping to give them each two, plus the teachers.)
I haven't even frosted them yet (the two batches from this morning needed to cool) and yet I am contemplating buying more flour when I go to Target this afternoon, for the express purpose of baking yet more cupcakes. Not later this week, but today. In part so we can enjoy some cupcakes, not just the class. In part so I can experiment with frosting and food coloring. I am enough of a fangirl that I an plotting some Dragaeran House colors frosting, AND Sylphiel-themed cupcakes, if I can get the colors to turn out right. (Specifically, purple base frosting, with tiny frosting carrots. Because it's half-way through Slayers Revolution and Syl-chan is STILL casting Flare Carrots instead of Flare Arrows, bless her heart. :D)
We'll see how using the frosting tube and tip works out. If it proves to be a classic blunder only slightly less well-known than the one about land wars in Asia, I may snap out of the Madness Place and sulk the rest of the day.
