Granpa's gone.

Got a call around 12:30 from my brother Jerry.

First words out of his mouth were "Has Mom called you?"

"N-Oh, damn. Granpa's gone, isn't he?"

"Yeah, about an hour and twenty minutes ago. Mom just called me; she was driving Gramma back to the house, and didn't have a lot of details."

I started crying. We talked for a bit. Evidently they'd been working on Granpa since 8 pm last night. He couldn't talk long, he was on his way to get paperwork done so he can go home on leave. He expects to be in WI tomorrow, and stay a week. Our youngest brother Brian left to return to his base this morning at four am. No idea if he'll be able to get leave again so soon.

I got ahold of my dad an hour ago. He was really shaken up. ;_; Katie wasn't much better. She'd gotten him a get well card, and hadn't sent it yet because she wanted to think of the perfect thing to write in it. Dad said Mom was on her way to get him; Katie and Andy were going to stay home for at least the next few days. Margaret hadn't been contacted yet.

Damn it. ;_;

Poor Granpa.

Poor Gramma... They'd been married 57 years...
