Mark has been sent to his room for temper-tantrumming with no readily apparent cause. He is currently stomping around upstairs, with the occasional audible flinging of a toy. Once the noise settles down, I'll go check on him and see if he's ready to be calm and reasonably pleasant.

Jack fell asleep in my arms after Mark was banished, and is currently snuggled with his Piglet in the playpen.

I am fighting off a sinus headache that started last night around two am. I've taken extra strength tylenol, am drinking lots of water, and am considering a rummage in the medicine cabinet for some Sudafed.

I am feeling a tinge of nostalgia/sorrow. Jack's waaaayyyy too big for the bassinet now, so I just emailed Dav's work friend Dave, and asked him to let an expecting Airman in their office know she can have it if she wants. I may take a last photo of Jack in the bassinet later tonight. ;_;

Still haven't even broken D.Greyman vol. 10 out of the shrinkwrap. ;_; That's going on the list of things to to after the boys are in bed tonight.

On the upside, even though I've barely had any time/energy to exercise, my improved eating and snacking habits are showing success. I've lost 5 pounds in the last month. \o/ I don't have a particular goal in mind. I just want to lose some of the baby weight and get firmer and stronger. I don't care what size I fit in, as long as I am healthy and feel good. (Although not having to buy an entire new wardrobe would be kinda nice.... Right now, most of my clothes are a)pre-ANY babies, which will probably never fit again, b) between babies, which are currently hit-or-miss as to fit, c) maternity wear, or d) stuff I bought to fill in the gaps post-Jack, which isn't much. Stuff in category A is probably going to be rummage sale fodder this summer, before Dav gets out of the AF. No sense in packing that stuff cross-country.)

Just placed my first order for bulk diapers and wipes with amazon.com. They're due to arrive Feb. 4th - I have enough bought locally to last way way beyond that, so if there's a hiccup in the system, no problem. Free Super Saver Shipping takes 5 to 9 business days, so this is definitely a 'plan ahead in case of emergencies' tactic, rather than an "Oh crap, running out tomorrow!" solution.

It's going to be so worth it. Free shipping saved me 35 bucks - and trying to wedge the cheaper bulk packages into a cart containing a toddler and an infant in an infant seat was a pain in the ass.

The Zodlings are both sound asleep. ::face-palm:: Mark fell asleep around 4. Jack, just ten minutes ago. They really need to work on their concepts of 'afternoon naps', and adjust their notion of 'afternoon'...

Me? I'm sneaking upstairs to lie down - and leaving the door open so I can hear when they wake up. Yatta!

OMG.

Could they have found a more stereotypically redneck family?!

This is going to be hilarious.

Edit: OOhhhh! OOoooohh! Oooohhh! And the other family's the kind of pretentious privileged upper class touchy-feely douchebags that would make [livejournal.com profile] davner break out in hives!

Epic Hilarity will ensue! :D

Final edit: I find myself with an overpowering urge to reach through the screen and punch both of the husbands soundly in the nose. They are narrow-minded, arrogant, condescending assholes, the pair of them. I would rant at length, but it's probably not good for my blood pressure.

I will say I found it very telling that the CA wife's face went blank and still, and she averted her eyes, when hearing how her husband had behaved to the MO wife during the swap.

That douchenozzle.
