Happy birthday, Little Panda Cub!
Apr. 3rd, 2008 04:38 pmMark-chan is 18 months old today. ^____^ We managed to keep him alive a year and a half, so we must be doing something right. ^_- I can still remember when he was a wee little burrito-baby who fit in the curve of my arm. Now, he fills most of my lap. He's even going to get his first haircut this weekend. ::sniffle:: I wish we could put it off longer, but his bangs are seriously interfering with his field of vision.
And of course, instead of being cute and cuddly for Mommy, he spent a good three quarters of the day cranky, whiny, clingy, and generally out of sorts. I suspect a new tooth, but *damn*. The boy was on a roll. Only slept an hour this morning.... Fell asleep in the car on the way back from the mall this afternoon, but woke up when placed in the crib, and had himself a screaming fit for fifteen minutes while I went to the bathroom....
Oh, and on the list of Things Zodlings Are Terrified By, we can evidently add juice boxes with straws. x_x I bought him a juice box of fruit punch at the Subway in the food court, expecting him to find it a nice treat. Oooohhhhhhhhhhh, no, no no no, noooooo..... He shrieked, failed, batted the juice box away, and generally freaked out. Wouldn't even let me get the straw near his mouth; I ended up accidentally dribbling fruit punch on his shirt and stroller. Was entirely unimpressed when I demonstrated how it worked and how yummy the fruit punch was. I eventually managed to squirt a little into his mouth, but he didn't care. Mommy was clearly trying to poison him, and he wanted no part of her cruel cruel plot.
::amused sigh:: He needs to get over this. Trips abroad with him and Jack will be a hell of a lot easier if I don't need to lug a thermos of soy milk along and worry about it spoiling before we get home.
He's still the cutest little zodling ever, though. ::tight huggles::
