Zodling allergens update
Jan. 31st, 2008 03:15 pmMark's "test results" from the allergist came today. Note the use of quotation marks. I expected a copy of his medical records, with a full list of each allergen his blood had been tested for, and the medical jargon stating what his reactivity was to them. Something I could take to his ped. to be copied into his records, and have Dr. Blodt explain to me, y'know? That's certainly what Dr. Morales led me to expect from what she said on the phone.
Nope.
A list of the four^ main food allergens, hand-written, with a list of what to be done for minor and major outbreaks; a pamphlet on the epi-pen jr., and infosheets on the sorts of things he can and cannot eat, and so forth.
That's about it. :sigh:
Well, next time we see Dr. Blodt, I can tell him I'm willing to sign any form he needs to get Dr. Morales' office to send over the *actual* test results.
^ Apparently beef's back on the allergen list. Dr. Morales did not mention it during her phone call. But it's handwritten on the form listing what to do for outbreaks, and there's a info sheet for it.
