Maternal giddiness
Jul. 28th, 2006 02:00 pmI couldn't resist the temptation any longer. ^_^ I strolled through the Infants dept. after work and bought Mark his first new clothes. They finally started putting the long-sleeved long-legged one piece sleepers on the clearance rack.
He now has five new outfits, in sizes ranging from 0-3 months, 3-6 months, and 0-6 months. Three in shades of blue with bears or airplanes, one white with little blue elephants, and a green one with a fuzzy little turtle on the front. So cute. ^_^ Two of the blue ones have special ankle cuffs designed to be rolled up, or rolled over the foot and sealed tight. I still remember how many lost socks my mother went through with my younger sibs, so I thought that was a great idea.
I'm going to hold off on any more new clothes until he's born. Steph offered me some of Aiden's hand-me-downs, both his grammas are probably going to send stuff, and I'll hopefully get some more stuff from the baby shower. If any gaps are left in his wardrobe, I'll head to one of the local thrift stores before buying new. But I figured my first-born deserved one or two brand-new cute things. ^_^ The trouble with buying for infants before they arrive is knowing what size to get - and once they're here, they grow so darn fast. That's why I didn't get them all in 0-3 months. If he's a big bruiser like I was or my brother Andrew was, he might not even fit the 0-3 clothes.
I can't wait til October. ::bounce::
