Jul. 5th, 2006 10:35 amAh, the glucose test.... Yet another of those things pregnant women go through that they never tell you about until you're already knocked up, or decide to study medicine in a obstetrical-related field. ::amused sigh:: Mark-chan, you had better be the cutest baby I've ever seen since your aunt Katie was born ten years ago.
Heading out the door in a little bit to get that taken care of. All my days off since I found out I had to get it done before my next individual care visit, have been either weekends, or spent going to Chesapeake for that damn mole. My next day off between now and my next prenatal visit is, alas, Saturday, so it really needs to get done today. (Barring thunderstorms.... ::eyes the weather channel warily::)
Also, I'll be going alone, Dav being unavailable to accompany me. I can handle the driving; I can probably handle the wierd drink they make me swallow; it's doing the blood sample portion of the test solo that makes me grumpy. I'm taking along Tai Shan-chan, my squeezably soft panda plushie named after the National Zoo's cub, and to hell with any snickering the lab techs may indulge in after I'm gone. :p
And then tomorrow the stitches and staples in my left arm all come out. Joy. I'm working the evening shift, so at least I don't have to lose too much time on this week's check.
