davner : Some Delta Force you've got.... Took them ten months to complete their mission, didn't it? ;p
Anyway. Went to the doctor today for my 'official' pregnancy test. It was considerably easier than I'd expected. I bought the Eveything Pregnancy Book this weekend, and after reading it, expected this visit to involve a lot of icky procedures. Didn't happen.
Those are still on the way, sadly, but I was lucky today. All we had to do was sign me in, walk down the hall to the lab, and get some blood drawn. Easiest blood drawing I've ever had in my life. Normally it takes the med tech three or four tries to find the damn vein. It's not like my veins are hard to *see*, damn it; the bright blue lines are clearly visible through my pallid white skin. But for some reason, getting the needle in there takes multiple tries and occasionally asubstitute pitcher second med tech to finally get it in. This time? In and out within five minutes. :D I was impressed. Dav barely had time to get into his usual distraction tactic of amusing nonsensical patter. I think this time it involved monkeys on trampolines or something.
We get to try calling the lab later this afternoon. If it's not done by end of business today, it should be done sometime tomorrow.
I'm so excited. :D
