sethrakI couldn't get a ride home tonight, because my folks are gone. So, I asked my boss if I could get done early tonight to be sure of catching the bus at a reasonable time and not having to shiver in the cold too long.
He agreed. I thought he was pretty damn cool, as you can imagine.
Unfortunately it did no good. The damned 76th street bus never showed, so I ended up having to walk to 68th and catch the other branch. Which got me home nearly an hour later than it ought to have, if I'd been able to catch the one I wanted. And I still had to walk the remaining 12 blocks home once it reached Washington.
I'm still pretty cold in my extremities. My legs got rather nicely warm from the brisk walking pace I set, but the rest of me is not happy.
Stupid stupid bus drivers.....
At least Andy was nice enough to leave the porch light on for me. ^_^
I'm so glad I didn't put away my electric blanket yet. I'm going to go curl up under it as soon as I get some food.
