Apr. 9th, 2003 01:51 amInsomnia strikes again.
I really should dig my hardcopy of my old AOL favorite places list and start reconstructing it onto the hard drive of the new computer. But that would call for me attempting to clean what my mother refers to as 'the abyss known as your room'. ::mutters under her breath:: Classic case of the pot calling the kettle if ever I heard one. At least my closet door can open and shut, instead of having a vast oozing pile of stuff trapping it perpetually open, like hers....
I'm just too lazy to go looking for it. I know roughly where the list is. All three pages of it. ^_^; Three pages of links separated by only a couple hits of the spacebar, at that... ^_^;;; I was trying to save printer paper, and figured that as long as I could tell one link from the next without squinting, it was fine....
Spent a lot of time the last couple nights catching up on favorite webcomics. Not last night; Dad was firmly entrenched on the computer when I got home. So I read some more of Joe Merchant. Damned good book; but I need to re-read it to fully absorb some of the more peculiar sections. ^_^
I also got introduced to a webcomic called Elf Only Inn, by Taloon. Darn you to the clutches of Prince Phil, Lord of Heck, for doing so, Tal-kun. ^_^ It's insanely funny, at least to anyone who's ever stumbled across a Net RPG chatroom. I used to spend a fair amount of time in the ones on AOL, and the characters of this strip bring back all sorts of memories. It's on keenspace.com if anyone's interested. I need to wander through keenspace sometime soon to see if there's any other promising new comics there.
But unfortunately, what I truly need to do right now is drag myself to bed. I have to work at K-Mart at 9 am. The marathon Net crawling will have to wait. Damn it. I'm not terribly sleepy, and the prospect of going to bed with nothing but a dearly loved hedgehog plushie to keep me company is not exactly thrilling. I'd rather stay up a while longer, puttering around.
Enough self-pity. I'm off.
