I have been thrown up on by Jack enough times to unlock some sort of achievement if this were an Xbox game and not real life.

Yesterday we did urine samples at home (which in Jack's case took two and a half hours of him crying and sniveling and covering himself with snot and drool and tears, while Tom and I took turns sitting with him and plying him with salty snacks and pedialyte. Joy. Such joy.) and then took them to the civilian hospital Dr. Yazdi works with to get bloodwork done. The latter was actually less of a trial than we expected. Neither boy much liked the needles, but neither of them attempted to headbutt Daddy or choke him out. So it went better than Mark's last haircut in June.

No idea when we'll hear back about the test results. Dr. Yazdi doesn't have any openings til next Thursday. We have an appt. for the afternoon and are on the waiting list if something opens up sooner.

Mark's mostly been fine. A few nocturnal blowouts, but he has those even when completely well. We sent him back to school Monday and today. (Yesterday we couldn't because of the need for bloodwork, and because it was supposed to have been the annual pumpkin farm trip for both boys. Pity. Venetucci Farms is pretty awesome.)

Jack's acting fairly normal in between bouts of nausea and diarrhea. I was close to sending him to preschool today, but it's a good thing Tom talked me out of it: while cuddling Jack on the couch watching tv not ten minutes after Mark got on the bus, the poor little guy triple-tapped me, himself, the cough, and the livingroom floor. x_x He would have done that on the bus instead if I'd sent him. Poor little guy.

What really has me worried, is that one of the items on the orders for the blood work was a test for celiac disease. God. Just what I need, on top of Mark's already-tricky food allergies. x_x

And through all this both Tom and I are fighting off a fairly nasty case of head and chest congestion. My post-nasal drip can frack off and die in a fire any time now. Seriously. Any Time. Now.
