Feb. 24th, 2011 08:02 amMark vomited three times in rapid succession yesterday morning, just as I was entertaining hopes he might be feeling better, because he was finally regaining a little interest in cheerios and juice. TriWest said every military provider was booked solid and authorized us to go to a civilian urgent care room.
An hour and a half later we got a diagnosis of non-strep sore throat and a prescription for amoxicillin. I called Tom after we got home, and he got permission from his boss to take the afternoon off and help take care of the goons. This was a big help. I was able to go to the base pharmacy without a sickly boy and his whiny brother, do some quick grocery shopping, and go back home to wait two hours for the prescription to be filled; get crucial help in cleaning up more vomit without Jack getting any on him, then come back again to retrieve the medicine without what became TWO sickly boys.
Yes, Jack seems to be catching what Mark has. Joy. I can only hope Mark's medicine gets rid of his vomiting before Jack's starts.
Tom is an excellent co-parent. ^_^ Unfortunately he can't take more time off until the boys are both completely better, but he's a huge help when he is home, and I appreciate it.
