Today's Scintillating Election Day Agenda
Nov. 2nd, 2010 09:24 amMy original plan of attack for today has been complicated by the coincidence of Election Day and a class field trip to a North Pole themed place up in the mountains. Transport is NOT being provided by the district (dang budget cuts), and class is canceled in favor of the trip. We're not going, in part because my driving confidence is not equal to the route, and in part because the entire affair sounds like an invitation to a Zodling meltdown.
So. Altered agenda.
Feed the Zodlings and myself. (Done)
Engage in a bit of cleaning while Zodlings scamper around the living room and watch PBS. (Done)
Have Ms. Dani and Ms. Jen arrive for Mark's Tuesday therapy.
Feed Zodlings and self lunch.
Vote! (While riding herd on two Zodlings, only one of whom can still be corralled in a stroller.)
Do the major shopping for this pay period's diapers, wipes, pullups, juice, etc. Make alterations to shopping needs as necessary for Acts of Zodlings.
Get home. Work on more cleaning. (Davner's got an exercise from tomorrow til the 11th, which involves twelve hour shifts, weekends included. He'll be unavailable to do his usual housework or watch the boys while I do mine, and I don't want the house to devolve into chaos right before the trip to Missouri.)
Internet forever!Mildly obsessive refreshing of political webpages all afternoon and evening. :D Accompanied by my favorite snacks, already procured.
Shame I can't do any get out the vote work, with the Zodlings around. But by 2012 they'll both be in school, and Mark will be going full-time. :D (Of course, I'll probably be taking a much heavier course load, but it'll be easier to squeeze in a little politics when the Zodlings are out of the house for a few hours a day.)
