Well, isn't that professional.
Oct. 14th, 2010 10:11 amYou may recall my mentioning that we're due to move 'sometime soon' because of base housing demo and rebuilding. Davner and I were unable to attend the recent meeting held by Tierra Vista to explain the current state of the demo plans, but he called the office and they sent him a pdf of the presentation that was given.
The salient points of said pdf: we appeared to be located in the middle of the current Phase One, which is scheduled to be emptied within the next three months; and Tierra Vista is required to give us first 60 days notice, then 30 days notice.
Well and good, we said. This place, while better than many we have resided in as a couple, is rather dilapidated, and the new housing units are wicked awesome. As long as they didn't try moving us out during the planned trip to Missouri for deer season/Thanksgiving, in violation of their own rules, we were eager to go.
A little while ago, I decided to go out to the garage to get another gallon of apple juice for my zodlings. When I opened the front door, a piece of paper fluttered to the ground. I figured it was some sort of notice from Tierra Vista regarding the next community yard sale or maybe the hours and rules for trick-or-treat.
I was partially right.
It was our sixty day notice.
::amused face-palm:: They stuck it in the door, left to the whims of wind and weather. A stamp and an envelope couldn't hurt their budget, could it?
Eh. They've still got to send us 30 day notice, which they say will arrive in November. They want everyone in the Phase One section to be gone no later than December 30th, and they want to start coordinating with us directly in November. Hopefully it will go smoothly.
