The Snuggly Husband passed his AF PT test this week! \o/ Aced it, in fact, for his age group, despite the new stricter standards - and absolutely smoked the scores of my favorite evil little brother, who's 8 years younger and an aircraft maintainer. Heh heh heh.

In celebration, last night we sent the boys to bed a little early and had Chinese takeout and coconut cream pie from Village Inn, while watching Macross Frontier. The food was awesome, but we ate way too much. We're getting too old for this shit. ^_^; Next time we'll stick half of it in the fridge for later.

Frontier is awesome, although I am torn between wanting Alto to pick Ranka despite her being barely legal even in Japan, wanting Ranka to find someone more age-appropriate - and wanting to smack the pink hair dye off of Sheryl. She keeps oh-so-innocently flirting with Alto, when she knows Ranka can see it - and she knows damn well poor Ranka-chan has a massive crush - then laughing in Alto's face when he acts like she means something by it. Or making a major move on Alto, pretending they're entirely alone, or at least without the presence of a certain little green-haired rival - then pretending to suddenly discover Ranka standing right there. Or, you know, just plain acting like Alto's her personal minion. ::eye-roll:: I'd feel a lot more sorry for her overall situation if she weren't pulling these shenanigans.

Kudos for Ranka for leaping into one of Sheryl's little moments and having a sing-off with her over Alto. :D

It still breaks my brain hearing Belldandy's Japanese VA as Sheryl's manager, under the circumstances.

Yesterday while Mark was in school I took Jack out to do the major portion of the Zodling-shopping for the pay period. -_- Oh my God. We need to make one of them potty-trained fast. I don't care which one goes first at this point. Over a hundred bucks on diapers, wipes, and pullups - and I didn't even buy the entirety of the pullups we'll need, since there's limited trunk space in my Civic. I am instituting a crackdown on Mark, and when we get regular in-home ABA therapy sessions started, that is going to be the top of the agenda.

If Dav hadn't made tech sgt., we would not be able to afford replacing the Civic this coming year, or indeed at any point until at least one of them were only on diapers overnight. -_-

Mark had his first session of Friday school for special ed. today. I drove, as the paperwork for getting him on the bus schedule wasn't complete in time. He should be on the list by next week's session. I don't mind driving, but given the extra distance to the school where these sessions are held, and the sessions only lasting two hours, we barely get any time between getting back to the house and having to go get him again.

Mark wore his Millenium Falcon t-shirt for the first time, and looked awesome. :D I really wish his regular school allowed normal street clothes. When we came to get him, the teachers said he had done very very well, and showed off new words he'd learned since the end of Friday School last spring. :D

Davner's off at the range, sighting in a couple of his rifles. Later he'll do the grocery shopping. Sometime this weekend, we're going out as a family to a local park or somewhere of the sort. ^_^ His UMUC classes have already started. Mine's not starting til next week, but the message board is already open, and everybody's doing intro posts. I am very excited about this class. ^_^

Not much else going on at present, aside from me trying to resist the lure of Inception and the new Sherlock Holmes BBC miniseries fandoms. I haven't seen the source material yet! ::head-desk:: The Homes series isn't even officially available here yet! It is sheer madness to get sucked into a fandom for which I have seen not a scrap of the canon! Madness I say!

Yeah, I used to say that about D.Greyman too. Only thing keeping me from lurking in that fandom right now is needing to catch up on the US releases so I don't get too spoilered.
