State of the zodlings part 2
Aug. 2nd, 2010 01:49 pmThe eval. went ok. Jack cooperated very nicely with the assessor, but did not talk, as expected, and only vocalized when Mark stole a toy or when he wanted a snack. Mark was in a cross mood the entire time, because a) the assessor brought a bag of supplies identical to the one Ms. Dani, his occupational therapist, uses, and b) Mommy didn't pay much attention to him the entire time the assessment was going on. He's used to being able to rummage through Ms. Dani's bag and play with the neat things, and he's used to being the center of attention when an in-home therapy session is being held.
Ms. M. says jack definitely needs speech therapy. We're going to have a more detailed eval/IFSP writing meeting sometime in early Sept. They'll call back when they have time slots to offer.
Have not gotten a call back from church re: squeezing in to the quarterly baptism class being held tonight. Eh. I still need to firm up my selection of godparents, anyway. If we have to wait til next quarter, I'll be disappointed but not terribly upset
(::eyes her sibs sternly:: Damn it, why are none of you active enough in any Christian faith to qualify?! There's five of you! Heck, I'd consider fibbing to a priest if one of you was at least an active Buddhist or something!)
