Care and feeding of Zodlings
Jul. 14th, 2010 01:58 pmI am starting to suspect my boys, particularly Jack-jack, have evolved some type of photosynthesis. It's the only sound explanation for their growth spurt, bouncing around, and energetic burbling without eating. >_<
They only nibble on their morning bowls of cheerios. Even the fruity and apple cinnamon kind.
Mark will reliably eat all his chicken at lunchtime, and if Jack is given the same, tries to steal some off Jack's plate when I'm away from the table.
Jack grudgingly ate his cut-up nuggets for the first time a week ago. He has not deigned to touch them since. >_<
He outright refused to eat any of the hardboiled egg I offered today. I'd try it again tomorrow, but given how hard it was to get all the egg fragments off of him and out from under his nails, I'm not sue it's worth the risk. Mark's egg allergy trumps getting Jack to eat eggs.
Both of them have developed a deep enthusiasm for Pillsbury bread-in-a-tube, baked fresh. Last night Dav thought we could try microwaving a hamburger bun for ten seconds and offering them each half. They both spurned it. >_<
For lunch, along with Mark's nuggets and Jack's egg, I offered them leftover bread-inna-tube. Mark wouldn't eat his at lunch, but insisted on carrying them to the living room, where the crusts are slowly getting gnawed off. Jack outright refused to touch his share, and ended up throwing it all on the floor.
Seriously. Photosynthesis. It's the only explanation I can think of.
