Dancing With the Stars: Latin Cardio Dance, Cheryl Burke; DVD
(No cracks about the dvd, it includes Maks, who is incredibly hot, if not someone whose public persona comes across as anything I'd want to date if he were the last guy on earth, and I'd kinda like learning to dance, even if I know my usual grace and limberness will make me look absurd at first.)
Also on order, the first volume of Ooku: The Inner Chambers, thrown in with a larger order placed bydavner. Contrary to the sideways look I got from him about the title, it's a alt-history manga about Edo-era Japan, where a mysterious plague has killed three out of four boys for generations, and the attendant alternations in society. I'm sure there will be a fair bit of droolworthy art, but it sounds like a good and serious speculative history.
I'm really looking forward to having some new reading material. Every other book in our collection has either been re-read to death, or is something I find unreadable. I'm making excellent progress on my current cross-stitch, but my elbows can only take so much at a time. And frankly, my book addiction is whining and pawing at the back of my skull.
It'll be nice having the cookie recipes. I hate not being able to give my kids the occasional treat, and while cupcakes are nice, they aren't always appropriate for every situation.
Off to call optometry and clean the grill, then get ready to go to the gym when Dav gets home. here's hoping the Zodlings sleep long enough for me to do all of it.
