Short state of the Sethra update
Jun. 15th, 2009 09:50 pmDeconamine is really not my friend.
I'm not one of the people who is made drowsy by it. Drowsiness, I could cope with, by taking it only at night.
Nope. I get the near-total lack of sleep, instead, along with light-headedness, dizziness, sweats, chills, and a general sense that something is not quite right. The light-headedness is bad enough that I'm unwilling to drive, and the dizziness is enough to make my vision get dark and sparkly around the edges merely lugging a tantrumming Zodling upstairs to his room for a timeout.
Very not cool. So, I'm not taking tonight's dose, and am calling my doctor tomorrow to see if I can get in and discuss alternatives for clearing out that clogged eustachian tube that don't make me unfit for basic activities. Going by my symptom pattern, it ought to be cleared out of my system enough by morning for me to be fit to drive. With luck, I'll be better company for my poor boys, too.
I am SO looking forward to a decent night's sleep...
