Fun with allergies
Jan. 29th, 2009 04:59 pm::sigh:: You really do have to check labels on every single damn food item.
I bought Mark a pouch of dried apples today, hoping to expand his diet. Didn't even consider checking the label - what could there be? Apples, water, high fructose corn syrup or some other sweetener, maybe some preservatives...
I'm grateful that I idly read the back of the label before I gave him some. It's made on the same equipment as a variety of items - including peanuts.
Sigh.
They're tasty, so I'll eat them myself.

Date: 2009-01-30 03:06 pm (UTC)He's doing well. Cut his first two teeth recently, the bottom center incisors. Thankfully he seems to be on a teething hiatus for now. He was an unpleasant little handful when they were breaking through, and slept very poorly. Now he's back to sleeping through the night, albeit making strange noises and snoring loud enough for me to hear it up a flight of stairs. ^_^;
He's a nice healthy size, and learning skills at about the right pace for a six month old. ^_^ Any day now I expect he'll learn to sit up.
Doesn't do a lot otherwise. He's little.
