Jack-jack is back on the growth chart!
Nov. 13th, 2008 01:32 pmJack is doing great!
12 lb., 4 oz., and 24 in. long!
He's still on the low end of the curve, but his height and weight are so beautifully proportionate, and his rate of growth is so improved, we don't need to do any more weight checks. :D Just keep feeding him four oz. every three hours, adding the tsp of cereal most of the time, and come back when his shots are due. He's not to get the flu shot til he's six months old. I, however, should get one, especially since Mark cannot get one, because of his allergy to egg. Drat.
Traffic was appalling. This is part of why I have panic attacks - these same lousy drivers are on the freeways, neglecting to use their headlights when it rains, or even pretend there's a speed limit despite slipper roads, or use their turn signal when changing lanes until they're already three-quarters of the way into my lane... And they're doing it at much higher speed on the freeway! ::deep breath::
Finding parking took twenty minutes of circling around. A nurse-practitioner popped in during the vitals check to say "the chart says a weight check, but you reeeeaaaalllly mean to get him a four month well baby checkup, riiight?" in a bright tone more suited to speaking to a small child. I explained that his two month had been delayed, because I was late for the original one, and had been told his next shots needed to be when he was five months old, as a result. "Oooh! Yes, that's right." Read the damn chart, woman...
Then they decided to do a fire drill right when Jack was naked. >_< The nurse said I could dress him before evacuating, but the fireman checking the clinic tried to hustle us out before I even had him diapered. Baka. It was cold and raining! In a real emergency I'd have had the boys gone as soon as the nurse said "this isn't a drill".
Then we all had to wait on the far side of the parking lot for 20 minutes. I'm so glad I bothered to install Mark's rainhood today.
But that's ok. Jack is growing ok now! Yay!
