Dear WordPerfect: When writing the sentence "Approx. 8 oz. soy milk in a sippy.", the word "soy" does not need to be capitalized. The period after the oz denotes an abbreviation of the word ounce. (Yes, it's a sentence fragment, but this is a list of directions for Mark's babysitter, not a professional document.) It should not take me three uses of backspace and the 's' key to get you to accept that no, I really DO mean that to be a lowercase s.

Dear K-mart: When did your selection of women's clothing tank so badly? Damn. You were never known for your sartorial excellence, but the trouble I had finding the fairly basic stuff I wanted, in a style suited to a 30 year old woman not a 90 year old one, was quite shocking.

Well, truthfully, you shouldn't use age to shop. Just buy what you like, even for formal/business wear. But seriously? I agree. Kmart is for the mu mu wearing crazy 80 year old aunts now. -_-

Yeah, that's the whole problem. I don't necessarily use age to shop, but I don't care to wear anything that appears 'bedazzled', nor did I back when it was still the 80's. Nor do I want to wear a black dress top that looks like a muu-muu, especially not to a rare dinner out with davner for our anniversary. I didn't lose my figure *that* badly, despite two kids in two years.

Of course, clothes-shopping's a challenge no matter where I go, since I'm not sure what my current size is. ::sigh:: It's not a 12 anymore, or not in most of the jean styles Target has, it isn't. Ah well. I'll just fill in the most urgent gaps in my wardrobe for now, and see how well my exercise and diet plan work in a few months.
