Over on the Internet nostalgia post on MQ, somebody brought up the Nickelodeon classic Pinwheel. I remember thinking this show was utterly awesome once upon a time.

So I went strolling over to imdb.com and wikipedia.... and stumbled across this little gem: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hattytown_Tales

Dear Lord. I'd forgotten all about this surreal little show. @_@ If I'd had the vocabulary to express such a sentiment at that age, I'd have accused the show writers of being on hallucenogenic substances.

In other news, my dragonish hoarding skills once again prove awesome. While trying to find the letters my husband sent back when he was in Afghanistan, I found an old Target giftcard from my godmother, tucked inside one of her Christmas newsletters. It had twentyfive bucks on it. :D Even better, Target had sales on some toddler items Mark really needed. He's got a new winter coat and some fleece pants for night wear. Jack now has new sleepers, to replace the preemie sized ones we got from Dav's co-workers as baby gifts. (I need to go through Mark's outgrown stuff and see if he's got anything suitable for Jack.) And I got a cheap plastic measuring cup so I can use precise portions of bleach for laundry and cleaning, instead of guesswork. Only spent ten bucks of my own money. :D

I'm probably going to hit the resale shops for the rest of Mark's winter wardrobe, though. Toddler clothing is ridiculously expensive, given how quickly he's likely to outgrow it.

Edit: The guy behind Hattytown also did a tv series about a magical math using panda - and there's books! http://www.issinoho.net/issi_noho_childrens_books.html Hmmm...
