Slight dampener on my fountain of squee: had a dentist appt. today. Not as bad as I'd feared, but still utterly unpleasant. And going to get a little worse. I have two small missing fillings on the upper outer incisors, which need replacing; a small cavity on the side of my farthest-back upper right molar; and a dark spot in one of the lower right molars that will need to be drilled and filled at some point.
Much blargh.
Dr. Slattery is having me come back the 18th to get two of those fillings done. I am assuming the front ones, as the receptionist said the appt. would only require an hour of my time. The back fillings are undoubtedly going to take more time. Sigh.
On the upside, United Concordia rocks - it's only going to cost $52 bucks for those two fillings.
And really, it could be a hell of a lot worse. Before my first trip to Dr. Slattery, back in March, it had been four years since my last professional cleaning. I am extremely relieved there were only four fillings discussed, and no talk of root canals.
Besides, we're going to Misawa!!!!! EEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeee!!
Edited to correct 'canines' to 'incisors'.
