Got the second collection kit from the lab, and managed to score two bottles this time. Maybe if I can do a true 24 hour collection the protein levels will be more in line with what any doctor, even Dimotte, finds safe.
It was funny; the lab tech I first spoke to boggled when I admitted it only took me twelve hours to fill the single container they'd given me last time. She looked in the drawer, and said it was the last container they had... Then one of her co-workers popped up and volunteered to grab more. She returned in less than five minutes, carrying at least eight in both arms. The first tech and I stared at her. "See! I told you I am a ninja!" she boasted. I couldn't help giggling. ^_^
Stopped by the base chapel; since Mark was baptized less than two years ago, I don't have to redo the baptism class. ^_^ V One less thing to worry about, when I really don't have time to be running around unnecessarily. We can't fill out any paperwork til Jack's already here, but once he is, I can just call Ms. Spencer and we'll go from there. It'll probably be in September: August will probably be busy as hell even if Dav does manage to dodge the possible two week TDY to Korea. They're switching to a once-monthly schedule for the baptisms, because Deacon Kwan's not available anymore, and the new priest's schedule is too full to fit in baptisms any old time like the semi-retired deacon could. So, most likely the third Saturday of September.
Hmmmm. I wonder if I can find a nice Celtic cross cross-stitch pattern somewhere that I could put on a onesie for Jack to wear... Mark's outfit was a warm and fuzzy sleeper with a polar bear and penguin on it, and I don't think that'll work so good for September. If the cross-stitch pattern's simple enough, I can probably get it done in time, and if not... ::shrug:: a simple white onesie is perfectly fine too. I'll check Ben Franklin sometime this week.
Made Mark an appt. for 6 pm Thursday to get his second haircut. When he's getting too hippie-like even for me, it's past due for another trim. ^_^ I'll have the car Thursday, so even if Dav can't get home from work in time, I can drive Mark.
Still got to call the PA; about to do that now. Wish me luck.
