Feb. 28th, 2012 08:22 amLast night, having drunk late afternoon Dr. pepper with Tom at a really awesome Chinese buffet, I volunteered to stay up, wrangle Mark, and do laundry.
Oy.
At various points, he
- attempted to use the (paperless, we already learned THAT lesson) toiler paper roll holder as a step for climbing onto the boys' bathroom sink, and broke off part of the hardware. I don't know how he managed to not hurt his foot; it has sharpish corners. I couldn't fix it, so the hardware and plastic cylinder are now in our bedroom.
- came running out of the boys' bathroom and into his room, naked from the waist down, as I came upstairs with an armload of clean towels. No pee spots were to be found. His underwear was in a corner of his bedroom. His pajama pants were AWOL. I suspect we'll find them wedged under the bed somewhere when I get a chance.
- made sufficient noise that I came up to investigate; didn't actually catch him in an act, but the green bathroom rug was upside down and had numerous wet spots all over the rubber backing. Might have been pee, might have been water; he knows how to turn the faucets on. His hands were dry and so was his underwear, when I checked.
- twice came downstairs, while I was in the laundry room swapping out loads, and was found twirling in circles in the living room. Being told to go back to bed produced screaming and stomping and hitting of walls on the way up.
- on multiple occasions, was heard burbling and monkeying about on the stairs, but had the sense not to come down far enough to be seen. I called up to him to instruct he go back to bed anyway. More screaming, stomping, etc.
He didn't go to sleep til shortly after eleven pm. x_x
I got the bulk of the laundry done, so I am taking a guilt-free nap once they're on the bus. I've had enough health issues over the weekend and during yesterday's outing with the husband, that I deserve and need it, even if Mark hadn't been a total Zodling last night.
