"Copy this sentence into your LiveJournal or blog if you're in a heterosexual marriage, and you don't want it 'protected' by people who think that GLBT marriage hurts it somehow."

As most of the f-list knows, cradle-Catholic I and cradle-atheist [livejournal.com profile] davner got married by a Nebraskan judge, originally to make it legal in the eyes of the Air Force while we prepared to have a wedding in my parents' parish in Milwaukee.

Yeah, that second part never happened. ^_^; The Pre-Cana classes had both of us going O_o way, way, way too much.

The point is, I do NOT think any religious group ought to be the ultimate arbiter of who can and cannot wed in this country. And I most certainly do NOT think that GLBT marraiges are the least threat to the deep and healthy relationship my husband and I share.

Please pass it on, or consider donating to the Vote No on Prop. 8 campaign. They need every penny they can get for ads in these last days before the election.

Jack-jack's visit to the cardiologist yesterday went excellently. :D He was very well-behaved, aside from urping on Mommy's coat, and deciding halfway through the chest ultrasound that he wasn't too happy with the nice ultrasound tech after all...

But the important thing is, he's in perfect health. Absolutely every marker that they measured was normal for his age, and the blood flow looked totally normal as well. Dr. Carr said he has a "functional murmur". You can hear the blood swishing around as it beats, but there's no structural defect behind it. He's just really small, and it's easy to hear the blood as a result. He will NOT need anti-biotics at the dentist in future years, and he will not need to go back to Dr. Carr. Dr. Carr sent the results on to Dr. Raymundo, so she'll have them in the system by the time we go back for his next weight check.

Mark had his second speech therapy visit today. It went all right. He's still not terribly responsive, but he did put a few small toys into a box, when Ms. Jeanne said "In" to him.

As much as I like her, I'm thinking hard about getting into the Infants Program here instead. I had a terrible time driving there today, despite having Davner riding shotgun to help. ::facepalm:: Next Tuesday, I'll have to start doing it solo. We're going to do a lot more practicing this weekend, and it's certainly something I need to learn sooner or later. But in-home therapy would certainly assist Mark, and it would mean my learning to drive on freeways would be a little less 'sink or swim'.

We'll see how this weekend goes. Ms. Jeanne did say we should be able to get further authorization to continue seeing her past Nov. 30th. But once we're in the Infants Program, we can't see her again. It's a tough decision.
