Zombie dragon mode today. My darling little Zodling has been waking mommy up three-four times a night the last few nights. Hence my lack of response to flist posts.

Still no sign of the anticipated ninth tooth. Sigh. Due to lack of nearby gypsies, am considering auctioning him off to highest bidder of his two grammas.

Need to get some Dr. Pepper when I head out later. Caffiene abstinence is for the strong, and for those without teething babies. Need to get him some baby Motrin too, when I make my soda run. Baby tylenol hasn't been working these last couple of nights. Maybe an anti-inflammatory med will work better.

Mark and I have a playdate scheduled for sometime today with Monika and her little boy William. Wow, I'm actually making an IRL friendship. :checks sky for flying livestock: Need to hear back from her about the time, because due to zombie-ism yesterday, I didn't check email and neglected to set a time for it. >_<

Braaaiiinnnnsss....

::scoops up Mark, makes sclurping noise as she kisses his head:: Mmm... Baby brains, so succulent and tender...

Well, aside from the notation on the blueprint with the door password being "Gygax", and the copies of Fifth Edition, that's not bad. :D I'd love to have KITT in my garage, and [livejournal.com profile] davner would love to have an X-Wing fighter.

Monika, hurry up and write me back about the playdate, dang it.... I know you check email several times a day, ebcause your husband's ship is deployed....

Edit: Fixed lj cut and spelling of N_R's name.

Not having any pirate lingo coming readily to mind, I shall quote from the Backyardigans' pirate episode instead:

"What do you do with a scurvy pirate?
Board his ship and then hotwire it!
What do you with a scurvy pirate?
Make him walk the plank!"

Somehow, I think Tyrone and Pablo were confusing sea piracy with space piracy... ^_^

Well, my nap was interrupted by the garbage men of infernal timing. >_< Mark can sleep through thunderstorms, and Granpa Steve using powertools in the basement, but not a garbage truck making the rounds. So, tossed some shoes on him and me*, loaded up the mommy bag, and headed out for a bit.

Mmmmm.... sushi.... Mmmm... cherry Coke....

I still say 1.39$ for a 20oz. bottle of soda is larceny, and not the petty kind either. :p But I needed cold caffiene in a hurry.

Got the food mill, which included a list of recipes. Found Stage 2 Gerber meats without wheat or wheat derivatives for less than a dollar each. ^_^ V So the plan to introduce more meat and protein to Mark's diet is going well. Got a really cute little Welcome sign with pumpkins, for the front door. I expect [livejournal.com profile] davner will roll his eyes in amusement when he gets home.

Now, to finish lunch, and let Mark-chan out of the playpan.

* Note: Never again put his shoes on until after I've got everything else ready. Evidently, the time it takes me to run to the toilet is the same length of time it takes a one year old to remove velcro shoes and socks.
