In other words, I just got back from the sonogram appt., and Zodling V.2.0 is definitely a boy. The tech was full of caveats about it not being official until the OB sees the photos and makes a ruling, but also said he rarely gets over-ruled on these issues. Dav, upon seeing the photos later, shook his head in amusement and said "Kim-chan, a penis doesn't leave a lot of room for doubt." ::snerk::

I'd be lying if I said I weren't a tiny bit disappointed. I really wanted a girl this time. But a boy is all right too. We had names for both genders picked already. Mark will have more in common with a little brother, and they'll be able to share a room if necessary all the way until they grow up and move out. Mark's old hand-me-downs will also all be wearable most of the way. (This is precisely why I wanted to know in advance, so I wouldn't buy a lot of cute baby dresses that would be unusable.)

Dav enjoys the fact they'll be the same age apart as the Hardy Boys. He has his own little pair of sleuths. ^_^ (I'd have liked a little Nancy Drew. ;p ) I now have the goofy theme music from the South Park episode about the 'Hardly Boys' stuck in my head.... ::head-desk::

So.... Marcus and Jacob... Maybe this time I'll get a redhead.... ^_^ He does have two redhaired granpas...

Well, see, that's the thing. I don't think I want to go through this a third time, especially with no guarantee it will be a girl. And, thinking over our plans for the next five years, and long-term, I'm not sure a third child is a good idea anyway.

But we'll see. ::shrug:: Right now my biggest worry is chasing the current little boy and dissuading my mother from her plots to send us child-size foam cheese hats.
