Zodling photo post #2
Oct. 4th, 2007 09:09 amThe tollbridge to Gloucester Point and some river fog. Left out some redundant ones.
A beautiful sailing ship that gives tours of the river twice a day. We got to watch it setting sail while I fed Mark his afternoon meal.
Mark showing more interest in the granite blocks along the riverwalk than in the cool boat... ^_^;
Little monkey has mastered the art of holding his bottle. Now we need to start on sippy cups. ^_^
Under the trees at the north end of the riverwalk, right before the long hill leading to the visitors' center and outdoor museum. The missing left sandal was not stolen by Stitch; he managed to unfasten the velcro strips and yank it off so many times that I gave up trying to keep it on and stuck it in the handlebar tray.
View of the Gloucester Bridge from the north end.
A recreated earth fort, built by the Royal Welch Fusiliers. I have a feeling the fancy sign probably cost more than the labor they did to recreate the actual fort. You can't see them very well thanks to the LJ shrinkage, but there's sharpened logs sticking out of the earth in a row behind the rather pitiful little trench.
And that's how we spent Mark's birthday afternoon. ^_^ His party will be Saturday, and there will undoubtedly be another large photo post afterwards.
