sethrakWell.... Hmmm... Not sure if I should post about this yet, or wait til I get it confirmed at the doctor's..... ::trying valiantly to suppress a giddy-yet-panicked smile, and not really suceeding:: What the hell. :D About an hour and a half ago I took a home pregnancy test, and the plus sign was bright screaming blue. Not one of those little half hearted signs that makes a woman doubtful if she should even trouble making a call to her doctor. Bright bright blue.

davner and I are a mixture of thrilled and nervous. We already called both sets of parents. Steve and Debbie are very happy for us. My mom, after she got done whimpering that she's too young for grandchildren, was also very happy. My sisters are bouncing all over with excitement. Dad was still at work; Mom says she'll have him call me when he gets home later tonight.
I'm calling the Women's Health Center on base tomorrow to make an appointment to confirm it, but given my last period started January 1st..... and the very emphatic test.... :D

Date: 2006-02-13 01:48 pm (UTC)Mary went in and had the blood taken. And we waited. And we waited. And we waited. I jumped every time the phone at work rang. Finally they called with confirmation, apologizing because they'd botched the first check and had forgotten to run it a second time.
