sethrakIt's official. My favorite baby brother is off to Air Force basic training. ::slight sniffle::
I tried calling home on Father's Day to talk to our Dad and to wish Brian luck and so forth. Sadly, Dad was at work, no one knew when he was scheduled to come home; and Brian was out carousing with his buddies. Andy, my middle brother, advised me that he wasn't expected home before midnight. I told him to please have Dad and Brian call me when they got back. He promised he would.
Now I get an email from my mother saying he's gone. He never called. ::unloved sniffle:: Baka. Apparently he never went back to the house. He took his bag of stuff with him when his buddies nabbed him, and after they were done partying, they dropped him off at the hotel downtown where the recruiters were collecting their enlistees.
Eh. He was probably too excited to bother with phone calls to me or Mom either. I asked Mom to give me his address so I can send him letters occasionally while he's in basic. Glad I called him last week and got a chance to talk to him for a long time.
I'm proud of the little baka. ^_^ I'm sure he's doing well.
