Apr. 13th, 2003 10:10 amLady in my line last night wanted to pay her bill, for a couple hundred dollars, half on one credit card, half on the other. Can't be done. Not on credit. Not on debit.
She got quite upset when I said I didn't think it would work. I shrugged and said she could try, but the cards only allow you to do the full amount. Only way to split up methods of payment is to pay part of the amount with cash or check, _before_ running your card through, then use the card for the remainder.
Lo and behold, as I'd said, it didn't give her an option of splitting up the bill. Just ran the whole amount through as soon as she hit the credit button. She was far from happy, but there wasn't anything to be done about it.
Back to bed for this sleepy dragon maiden. I slept terribly last night.
