More adventures in Zodling-raising
Mar. 5th, 2012 09:59 pmAbout half an hour after he was officially supposed to be in bed, I discovered Mark standing on top of the highly curved and slippery lid to the toilet tank in the boys' bathroom, on tiptoe, trying to grab the bare shower curtain rod and dangle from it. (We had to remove the curtain because he kept standing on the rim of the tub, tugging the curtain until one end came loose, and dismembering the cheerful rubber monkeys on the curtain hooks. Sigh.)
Keep in mind, this is base housing. Brand spanking new, and much better quality than any other house I've ever lived in, but still. The curtain rod is cheap plastic, held in place solely by pressure. It is not up to the weight of a well-grown five year old.
That boy's going to wind up a Darwin Award winner someday. x_x
Fortunately, we don't use the shower in that bathroom much, so removing the rod and shoving it in a closet isn't a problem.
***
And now for something completely different. :D
Wandered by Metaquotes for the first time in a while, and came across this. Against Big Bird, The Gods Themselves Contend in Vain
I don't know what's better, Scott Lynch's awesome MSTing of this special, or the memories flooding back. :D :D :D

Now, off to fold clean towels on the dregs of my caffeine rush, and then to bed.
