Hooray for the Internet.
Mar. 10th, 2011 09:46 pmEarly this morning, I tried logging on, and couldn't get Firefox to connect to a single website. Tried checking the connection, and could only determine that "signal is very weak".
Not wanting to risk breaking anything, and not having any idea where our Comcast proof of ownership of account was, I waited til Tom got home. Tech support determined we needed to crack open the case on the built-in wireless and non-wireless internet box in the laundry room, and reset the modem.
Thank God. I missed the internet. Was just as productive as usual, since I sneak in net time between bouts of Zodling wrangling, errands, and housework; but DAMN was it a lot more boring. A woman can only take so much PBS and Backyardigans and Sandra Boynton straight up.
I'm fairly pissed about the sneaky end-run used by the WI legislature to pass that budget, and exceedingly perplexed as to how they did it, even with parliamentary tricks. I had thought the rule about a quorum of 20 to pass fiscal items was pretty hard and fast.
We'll see what happens.
