sethrakMeh. Yesterday was deathly dull, despite being not unlike my usual daily routine. Did laundry. Wrangled Zodlings. Worked on scraps of cleaning here and there in advance of today's visit from the moving company rep. Didn't bother trying church; it's difficult enough with just one of them, but both at once? Hell no.
Made a pretty awesome meatloaf - which of course the boys snubbed. Mark did nibble on a few crunchy bits, but as he was still in tantrum mode from waking up after a late nap, that was about all that could be expected. Jack disappointed me most. He's terribly finicky, but crunchy food is usually a win for him.
Davner came home late, snarfed down two helpings of meatloaf with audible appreciation, vacuumed downstairs while I was getting the boys in bed, and went to bed by 8:30. I can't wait for the exercise to be over. I want to finally watch White Collar with him in the evenings after the boys are in bed. ;_;
The house is nowhere near ready for the movers next month, but it looks much more respectable than usual. ::mild preen:: I'm not looking forward to the eventual assault on the closets and garage, but at least I can have strangers over without embarassment.
Today's Domestic Goddess Agenda:
Put Mark on bus.
Let moving rep. in house, go over contents so they can estimate truck size/number of boxes. Emphasize that we have a LOT of books, and they really shouldn't underestimate the number of specially-made book boxes they need.
Get groceries.
Swing by flu shot kiosk at clinic, check on length of line. Get Jack and self shots if time allows.
Feed Jack and self lunch.
Have Jack's therapy appt. with Ms. Jean.(Hence need for short flu shot line.)
Call Dr. Sayers, Tierra Vista Maintenance. (Mark managed to dislodge the screen door from the sliding door apparatus leading to the backyard. ::face-palm::)
Work on more household stuff, play with Jack, retrieve Mark from bus, make MUCH simpler dinner than yesterday's.
