sethrakI'm scheduled to work 7:30 am to 4 pm Thanksgiving Day at K-Mart... ;_;
Mom said she'd bring me back a doggie bag from Aunt Mary's party. So I'll get my qouta of superb turkey cooked by Uncle Kurt. And really, the company at the family holiday gatherings isn't usually very stimulating, so I'm not entirely upset at a decent excuse to be elsewhere. But... 7:30 am?! The day after I'm scheduled to work from 6 pm to 10:30 pm, and thus will not be in bed before 11:30, in all likelihood? Gah...
Who in Cephied's name is going to be shopping at K-Mart at 7:30 am anyways?! Gorcery stores, sure, that I can see... but a retail store whose food supply consists of snack items and soda?
Further cause for rowring... I'm scheduled to work from 1 to 7 pm on the dreaded Friday After Thanksgiving..... ::ominous music:: At the front register. Not in apparel. When I get home Friday night I'll be ready to collapse into my nice comfy bed and die for twelve hours.
I was half-hoping my boss at Gilles would give me an excuse for not working such a shift, because I had been scheduled to work at Gilles from 6-10:30 pm Friday night. But no. He expects business to be extremely dead that night, because people will still be eating leftovers from Thanksgiving. So he looks upon my scheduling conflict as a way to reduce the number of bored to tears workers lounging around the place. I look upon him as demented, but that has more to do with his 70's theme for Halloween and the strange hat he wore all shift tonight than his opinions on my schedule. :p
Tomorrow I'm going to spend sleeping, cuddling under the blankets listening to the Faces soundtrack, and getting my room ready for decorating. Every year I set up my little fake tree and figurines the weekend after Thanksgiving. Provided I wake up on Saturday before Inuyasha starts on CN... which may or may not happen, after the hectic Thursday and Friday I'll have... I intend to do it again this year. So I'll need everything in semi-clean fashion. All melonballers smuggled in by certain evil relatives to be forcibly removed... all dustbunnies sent packing... oh, and I should really install the speakers on my computer at last. ^_^;
I might even do some Christmas shopping on Sunday. Provided people start coming up with gift suggestions... I might need to send Kawaii Shrine Maidens over to Taloon's place to remind him, ever so gently, that we're facing a deadline if he wants to get it before he goes back home for the break.
Ohh... sudden brainstorm... I shall rent Ah My Goddess on Friday, for viewing this weekend, as a treat for my hectic work schedule! Cute, cuddly romance with Keiichi and Beldandy; cute, cuddly Skuld-chan to go Awwwww over; and plenty of warm fuzziness all over the place.
