Sep. 7th, 2010 01:21 pmHad a dreadful time sleeping last night, in part because the temperature skirted that odd line where no covering makes me terribly chilly, but even a light covering makes me sweaty. Normally I solve the problem by rolling over and glomping
davner. That won't be an option til Thursday night. ;_;
::sigh:: Once again started the day with an emergency bath, and scurried around getting things presentable before Ms. Dani and Ms. Jen arrived at 10. I'm going to have to get another mattress cover from WalMart. Not for the mattress, but for the box spring. We had to take the mattress off the bed entirely a few weeks ago. Mark was cantilevering the mattress partway off the bed, wriggling between the fitted sheet and the mattress, then leveraging everything off the bed, flipping the mattress upside down and pinning himself under it in the process. Multiple times a night, sometimes. -_- Prying him loose from the entangled sheet afterwards was nearly as much work as putting the mattress back in position.
We solved that problem by moving the bed against the far wall, and putting the mattress on the floor next to it, so he could still get a breeze from the wall-mounted fan. We also got a waterproof cover that completely encloses the mattress, and some sheet straps to keep the fitted sheet in position. Unfortunately, as this morning proved, this plan leaves the box spring vulnerable to soiling. -_-
Since the morning therapy visit made cleaning upstairs impossible, I've currently got laundry in progress, and am waiting on the carpet cleaner to dry so I can vacuum Mark's room.
Tonight's actually-thrilling-for-once agenda involves working on my first assignments for UMUC, and running some more laundry. :D Class started today.
And I have Cherry Dr. Pepper again! Glee! Coping with Zodling shenanigans is SO much easier this way. :D
