sethrakYesterday evening we got a torrential storm the likes of which I didn't think were meteorologically possible in this arid mountain climate. Down on the plains, sure. Kansas' tornadoes have to come from somewhere. But up here?
Sometime during dinner we noticed that Mr. Turtle's lid had been blown out of the yard. During a brief letup in the rain I saw a splotch of bright green through the gaps in the fence.davner bravely ran out in his slippers to retrieve it. (Good thing it didn't blow into the next door neighbor's yard.) The sand got totally soaked, though.
The entire yard's so saturated I'm not letting the Zodlings out to play today. I'd have to hose them off every five minutes if I did. And I don't fancy cleaning mud out of the carpet. It'd be different if we had a path of uncarpeted flooring from one of the doors to a bathtub.
The Zodlings are still having fairly intense gastrointestinal problems. >_< So we're not going outside at all today. Dealing with the aftermath of that at a store would be even worse than scrubbing mud, woodchips, and leaves off the boys.
I'm having short sudden bursts of dull stabbing pain in my right abdomen. No clue as to why. It doesn't seem to be the same bug the boys have. On Dav's advice I took some Pepto a little while ago. Against Dav's advice, I am not sending the Zodlings to their rooms so I can lie down. I absolutely do NOT want to clean up a stomach incident after they've been alone in their rooms some time. ::shudder::
Instead, I am watching random cute things on youTube, and the official Old Spice Guy On A Horse channel.
