Why my boyfriend is evil.
Sep. 15th, 2003 02:17 pmNo, Drak, I don't mean ebil. ^_^
This weekend we've been watching a lot of Nadesico on DVD. As a result, while trying to eat breakfast and blearily wondering why I was awake already, I had the Gekigangar theme song stuck in the back of my head.
I happened to mention this to my Tom.
Mistake.
Before we left, he leafed through his CD binder to change the car's selection, as he does every fews days. I didn't think much of it. Until we got on the road, and he surfed around on the tracks of the fresh CD until he found juuuuust the right one, and said "Just to mess with your head even further this morning....".
The full Gekigangar theme song came pouring out as we reached the highway. >_< Not just the snippets of "Go Gekigangar 3!" and the background music that had been stuck in my mind. The whole Verra-be-damned thing.
Guess who's cackling evilly all during the song?
Well, as a small form of revenge, I shall refuse to e-mail him concerning whether his package from Amazon.com got here yet. He can wait til he gets home; a punishment similar to making a small child wait until 3 pm Christmas Day to open any presents. Just the thought of what that will do to him - after I said I would write if it did get here - makes me rub my hands together and grin widely.
On a less evil note, I need to troll the web for artists. I want an older version of Jun Aoi to complement 'Oysters and Pearls'. I'd also like to see if someone is capable of doing a decent job on Colonel Makoto Rikari, his original character. Or Chase Warren, who's Dav's homage to Jimmy Buffet for this entire fic, I suspect.
It's been a lot of fun this weekend, despite songs getting stuck in my head and evil persons capitalizing on that fact. My anime store in WI only had the series up to episode sixteen. Quite a lot of interesting stuff happens in the last eight or so episodes. I'll have to smuggle the DVDs along when I go to FL, so I can take them along to WI for Christmas and watch them with my lil brothers.
