Jack-jack's well over 9 lb.! :D
He's still only in the tenth percentile for his age. But his rate of growth since I started adding oatmeal to his formula is much much better. Dr. Raymundo is very happy. We go back in a month for another check.
She says the gas troubles are because of the extra fiber in the oats. She still feels oatmeal is better, to prevent constipation, but since he's having so much trouble with gas, I can try rice cereal instead. If the rice constipates him, I can add a teaspoon of prune juice to the formula. (If that becomes necessary, I'll do it sparingly. I'm not thrilled about introducing solids this early as it is, and juice still less. But he's way too young for strained prunes.)
The important thing is, he's getting bigger and plumper and even developing little muscle bulges on his arms and legs. :D
