Recent dinnertime conversation:
Davner: Maybe he'd like broccoli better if they had some kind of sauce.
Sethra: Do we have anything that isn't milk-based, that'd go with broccoli?
Davner: ::rummages in fridge::
Davner: Aha! Ketchup! ^_^ V
Sethra: Ketchup? On broccoli? O_o
Davner: He's two. He thinks ketchup goes with everything. ::squirts some in a small side compartment of the plate, not directly on the broccoli, then dabs some broc. in and offers it::

A brilliant scheme in theory, unfortunately Zodling still refused to let the broccoli anywhere near his mouth.

We eventually left him along with his veggies, in hopes that, as he sometimes does, he'd gnaw on some if we weren't watching.

:face-palm: In retrospect, such a very very silly thing for us to do. See below.








Even after I wiped him down, he had a lingering ketchupy aroma until bathtime. ^_^; To date, he still has not tasted broccoli.

I ate ketchup on my broccoli until I was, like, 10...and you should SEE some of the conconctions Aiden comes up with.....It makes ketcup and broccoli look like spaghetti and meatballs! lol :D
