sethrakSo, we didn't get a re-enactment of Filia rampaging across the anti-dragon town, with my mother playing Filia and Cousins' Subs playing the town... ^_^ I'm fairly happy about that. But it feels.... I don't know... odd. I was fully prepared for her to react badly. Hell, given the way she loses her temper over considerably more minor things, without warning, I was expecting it. I'm _glad_ she didn't, but it still strikes me as odd.
::mock gasp:: Maybe I've finally found a man whom my mother can tolerate. What a strange thought *that* is.
It feels like getting ready to charge a brick wall, gathering up my courage, coiling up all my energy... then when I finally spring forward, having it all collapse into nothingness with barely an effort, leaving me to stumble about in the dust wondering where to go next. It's got me a trifle off-balance.
So. Next on the agenda, getting a job in Omaha. Preferably not one in fast food.
