I went to bed around 10:30 last night, after Jane Norton conceded to Ken Buck. I am not thrilled at the prospect of his misogynist ass in my state's Senate seat, should the GOP manage a better turnout than ours in November. But I'm kinda hoping Bennet and his sturdy campaign chest will wipe the floor with Buck.
The GOP gov. race was still up in the air at that point. Woke up to learn that Dan "The Destructor will take the form of UN-sponsored bicycles!" Maes won by a very very tiny margin over Scott "What, me plagiarize?" McInnis. Which is as it should be when a party is faced with two such shoddy candidates. :/
I'm cackling just a tad immoderately at the thought of what Hickenlooper will do to him in November. Esp. if Tancredo persists in his third-party campaign. The Wash. Post had a poll up last night, and in a three-way, Tancredo will split the GOP vote, leaving Hickenlooper with a very comfortable winning margin. Even without Tancredo, he was slated to beat Maes handily.
Mwahahahaaa.
