Gratuitous post of squee

Yesterday, davner bought me a pretty pair of little diamond earrings. For no other reason than that he loves me and thought I might be getting tired of my old ones. ::virtual glomp of marvelous husband::

Said "old ones" being the original white gold orb earrings I got when I had my ears pierced, the summer before I got pregnant with Mark. <_<; What can I say, I am a creature of habit. Also, the old ones were a bitch to pry out of my ears. I only took them out when necessary for cleaning. They also had a distressing tendency to turn the backs of my ears green; I deliberately purchased hypo-allergenic earrings to avoid this, but evidently the earring manufacturers didn't think making the backing hypo-allergenic as well as the earring itself was necessary. -_- The new ones are very pretty and sparkly, and their backings, while easier to yoink off and on than the old, are sturdy enough to stay firmly in place. I love my husband. ^_^
