Well, that went better than I expected. Maybe my guardian mazoku wants to make up for yesterday's annoyances. ^_^

Dav's co-worker Christian drove me to Chesapeake. We briefly stopped at the nearby Waffle House, since we got there an hour early. Maybe the infamous HRBT south-bound morning traffic jams don't get started until later in the morning.

Went into the exam room promptly at 8; clutched Tai Shan to my chest while Dr. Moreland poked at it a bit. Then, snip, tug, eeep. Repeat three times. "Okay, come back next week for the staples to be removed, and please apply neosporin or some type of cream to the site more than just once a day like you say you've been doing. It doesn't matter what type of cream you use, as long as it's sterile, but it's imperative that you not let the wound get dried out."

That was it. Took five minutes. I didn't even really need to clutch the plushie. Christian was mildly disappointed that he didn't get to miss out on more of the duty day. ^_^

I wish Dr. Moreland had taken the staples too, but at least he said that everything looks about the way it ought to look at this point.

So, next week Thursday, 8 am again, for round three, staple removal.

...okay.

Coming home last week to find someone had taken our designated parking slot by the apartment was annoying, yes. But it was Saturday night, someone a couple doors down was clearly having a party, and guests from outside the complex can't be expected to know about the numbered slots being reserved for tenants. So I only bitched to Dav.

Tonight is Thursday. No one on the block appears to be having a party. It is late, my arm aches, and I've been feeling wobbly for the last two hours.

Finding someone else in my spot is not acceptable.

I memorized the license plate number as I walked past and wrote it on the fridge when I got in. Tomorrow afternoon I should be home before the apartment office closes, and I intend to complain. Those numbered spots are included in the rent, damn it.
