I can haz birthday loot! Yes I can!
Mar. 13th, 2008 04:55 pmGot a package from my folks, full of birthday presents and stuff for Mark.
My parents sent a pretty birthday card and a t-shirt from the webcomic Mutts. My aunt Marge sent me a box of sesame seed sticks from Buddy Squirrel - my favorite thing from their store ever. ::licks lips:: She sent Mark another toothbrush and box of baby toothpaste. I already got a birthday card from her. My folks sent Mark a hardcover copy of Hop on Pop, to replace the torn-up boardbook he currently has. My brother Brian, fellow Discworld fan, sent Mark a copy of "Where's My Cow?!". Heeee.
I still can't quite believe I'm turning 30 tomorrow. O_O But it should be a good day. Dav is making pork chops and baked potatoes for dinner, and if he can find one, we'll have a french silk pie for dessert. (Yes, I am blatantly disregarding the Lenten prohibition on meat on Fridays. I'm only turning 30 once. I'll take the extra time in Purgatory gladly in exchange for not eating more fishsticks on my own birthday.)
Then Saturday we're getting a babysitter and going to a new Brazilian steakhouse down in Virginia Beach for a going away party for a co-worker of Dav's. Lt. Pearceson is a really nice woman, and she's got lots of experience babysitting, particularly with children who have allergies. Mark seemed to like her when I introduced them. I hope it goes well. Mark's never been babysat by anyone by his gramma Doscher.
Anybody got good ideas for marking this milestone? ^_^
Edit: Oh! Before I forget: My ultrasound appt. is Wednesday at 10 am. My bladder is already cowering in fear. ^_^;; Update will follow.
