Well, last night's delightful lack of sleep was hopefully caused by tooth 9 beginning to make itself known. x_x

Somewhere in the middle of the night, while rocking my poor Zodling, I had the brilliant and original idea to try some baby tylenol on him, in hopes that he'd at least get some comfort, if not total cessation of pain.

Five seconds later, I realised we had none in the house. >_< Last time I used any on Mark was when he got his six-month vaccinations. We were still in Missouri with [livejournal.com profile] davner's folks. When I was packing for the return home, I left out the baby tylenol because we were short on space and I figured I could just pick some up in VA before his 12-month shots. I didn't really expect him to need it before then. Aside from the eczema, he's not a sickly kid. And at that point, teething pain could be solved with a quick swipe of Mommy's orajel-smeared finger across the gums.

Nearly six months and a lot more teeth later, it's a pretty dicey proposition to stick anything in this kid's mouth. ^_^; I only risk flesh wounds when he's trying to stuff something like dirt, or a wad of freshly gnawed-off cardboard from one of his books, in his mouth.

His pain seemed a lot better during the day, and he took both his naps well. Dav brought home some baby tylenol after work, and I added a little to his post-dinner bottle.

Here's hoping it helps. Poor kid. I expect the canines and all teeth from here on out will be progressively worse.

(Note to Davner: I want the RvB shirt with the subject of this post for Christmas, please. ^____^ )
